What are EMSF applications?

The EMSF technology is most commonly used to produce drinking water from seawater. This is the case for individual households, small (resorts, hotels, restaurants, bakeries, etc.) and mid-size businesses and enterprises as well as public facilities like schools, clinics and hospitals in coastal areas. The EMSF technology works perfectly on ships as there is always a source of waste heat (engines) and other industrial plants and facilities. EMSF could easily be used for production of irrigation water to prevent agricultural soil salinization.

It is important to explain that the EMSF technology removes not only salt, but also other mineral and microbial contamination from the water. This is of major importance in areas where water contamination causes serious health problems. According to medical statistics, for example, contaminated water is responsible for up to 80% of diseases among populations in some areas.

It is also possible to use the EMSF technology for the finest purification of fresh water that has already been produced by the Reverse Osmosis (RO) technology. Since RO cannot purify water to level lower than approx. 300 ppms, it is recommended to use the EMSF technology as an additional step in the treatment for water intended for drinking.
