Does the water need further treatment?
As with any technology that purifies water thoroughly, it is advisable to re-mineralise the water for drinking purposes. This is done using a capsule of dolomitic limestone that is part of the desalination unit. Moreover, EMSF can be regulated to any reduced level of preservation of minerals from the original (input) water. This is another difference from conventional technologies. Another option is to add fertilizers and trace elements to purified (output) water intended for agricultural irrigation.
